Prof Dr Tobias Lenz has been working as a lawyer in our Cologne office since 1993. He advises clients on product liability and product safety law and insurance law (covering almost all insurance sectors) at national and international level. Other areas of focus in his work include executive board and managing director liability, especially in relation to compliance issues, with typical D&O insurance law questions and issues surrounding the ever-growing cyber risks (cyber insurance). He also has many years of experience in commercial and corporate law, particularly in preventive advice and litigation, and regularly acts as an arbitrator. He also holds advisory board and supervisory board mandates.
He is also a lecturer at the University of Münster as part of the “Financial Lines” certification course offered by the German Association for Financial Loss Liability (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Vermögensschadenhaftpflicht e.V.) and a professor of national and international commercial law at the Rheinische Hochschule Köln and former director of the Institute for Liability and Insurance Law. He is also a trainer for certified specialists in insurance law at the German Lawyers’ Academy in Berlin.
