As of July 1, we are welcoming Alik Dörn (50), a specialist attorney for public procurement law, to our partnership at the Frankfurt office. This is a further step in the growth and expansion of our public law practice.
Alik Dörn has been advising on public commercial law since 2004, mainly in the area of public procurement law on both the client and bidder side. Prior to joining FGvW, he worked for Bird & Bird, Clifford Chance and KPMG Law. Since 2017, he has been advising as a Local Partner in FGvW's Frankfurt office, primarily on supplies, services and construction, and also includes the areas of defense and security as well as concessions. Furthermore, Alik Dörn advises clients in the sector (water, electricity, heat and gas) and thus covers the entire area of public procurement law. His advice includes the implementation of the entire procurement procedure for mostly public clients.
"Alik Dörn's inclusion in the partnership not only strengthens the Frankfurt location, but at the same time creates an important interface in public law that is of great value to the firm as a whole," explains Carsten Laschet, spokesman for the management of Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner. "With Alik Dörn, we are not only taking on our second partner this year, but for the first time a partner from 'our own ranks' in Frankfurt - a nice success for our still young office," adds Managing Partner Sabine Schröter.
"At FGvW, I am delighted to now be able to continue to provide comprehensive advice and develop public procurement at partner level, both on the client and bidder side, and to offer target-oriented solutions in this area," emphasizes Alik Dörn.
